“I am grateful to General Zaluzhny for two years of protection. I am grateful for every victory that we achieved together and thanks to all the Ukrainian soldiers who heroically endured this war.

Today we talked openly about what needs to be changed in the army. Urgent changes. I suggested that General Zaluzhny continue to be part of the team of the Ukrainian state. I would be grateful for his consent,” Zelensky noted.

New team

The President added that from today, February 8, a new management team will take over the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“I want the vision of war to be the only one of our soldiers in Robotin or Avdiivka, and in the General Staff, and at Headquarters. “I had dozens of conversations with commanders at different levels,” Zelensky added.

He stated that he spoke with brigadier generals Andrei Gnatov, Mikhail Drapaty, Igor Skibyuk and Colonels Pavel Palisa and Vadim Sukharevsky.
