In 2023, exports fell to $36 billion, imports increased to UAH 63.5 billion – State Statistics Service

Ukraine exported goods worth $36.1 billion in 2023, which is 18% less than the previous year. Imports to Ukraine increased by 14.9% to $63.5 billion in 2023. This is stated in the State Statistics Service data.

The negative trade balance amounted to $27.3 billion. In 2022, the negative balance was $11.1 billion.< /p>

Ukraine’s trade turnover in 2023 amounted to $99.8 billion.

Ukraine exported the most grain ($8.3 billion -8.8% compared to 2022), fats and oils ($5.6 billion -5 %).

The main import items are transport ($6.9 billion, +33%), nuclear reactors, boilers, cars ($5.3 billion, +26%).

The export import coverage ratio was 0.57 (for 2022 – 0.80).
