The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the World Bank are working to raise $500 million to finance projects to support Ukrainian business in 2024. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy.

What is known
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to increase the export potential of Ukraine, the possibility of attracting World Bank financing for the implementation of the Oselya preferential lending program, as well as expanding the capabilities of the Export Credit agencies for insurance of military risks, including for small and medium-sized businesses.
Separately, the parties focused on the modernization of the preferential lending program “5-7-9%” and the possibility of stimulating Ukrainian banks to be more active in business lending .
“We heard from colleagues from the World Bank a whole range of practical advice on increasing the capabilities of the Ukrainian economy, both now, during the war, and for planning a more intensive recovery in the post-war period, as well as the transition to a post-industrial model of development . We agreed to attract the expertise of the World Bank to modernize our strategy for restoring the Ukrainian economy in the future,” summed up Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.
