Last year, banks returned 93.5% of NBU refinancing

As of January 1, 2024, banks' debt on refinancing loans decreased by UAH 35.66 billion (-93.5%) compared to January 1, 2023, when 21 banks had a total of UAH 38.15 billion in NBU refinancing. FinClub writes about this.

It is noted that 15 banks paid in full for the refinancing : “Ukreximbank”, “FUIB”, “Sense Bank”, Bank “Credit Dnepr”, Bank “Yuzhny”, “Ukrgasbank”, “Accordbank”, “Industrialbank”, “Bank 3/4”, “ProCredit Bank”, “ First Investment Bank”, “Crystalbank”, “Motor-Bank”, “Ukrainian Capital” Bank, “Poltava-Bank”.

In total, these banks returned UAH 33.72 billion to the NBU, including the largest the amounts fell on Ukreximbank (-18.47 billion UAH), FUIB (-4.19 billion UAH) and Sense Bank (-3.28 billion UAH).

“1 more UAH 97 billion was returned to the NBU by four banks that still have a debt to the regulator: Bank Alliance (debt of UAH 700 million as of January 1, 2024), MIB (UAH 320 million), MetaBank (167 million UAH), “Agroprosperis Bank” (UAH 150 million),” the message says.

At the same time, two more banks increased the portfolio of funds received from the NBU: “Kominbank” – by UAH 1.6 million (up to UAH 790.6 million), Lviv Bank – by UAH 29.94 million (up to UAH 355 million).

The debt of these six banks to the NBU amounts to UAH 2.48 billion as of January 1, 2024 year.
