New Zealand provides Ukraine with a new aid package worth almost $17 million

New Zealand announced a new package of benefits for Ukraine. Its cost will be 25.9 million New Zealand dollars ($16.8 million). This was reported by the press service of the New Zealand government.

“The war has caused terrible human costs, enormous suffering, and significant impacts on regional and global stability. This is why New Zealand continues to support Ukraine,” the message says.

It is also noted that over the past two years, New Zealand has allocated more than 100 million New Zealand dollars ($62 million) in assistance to Ukraine.

New Zealand Defense Minister Judith Collins noted that over the past two years, the country's military has been in Europe and the UK, working with like-minded partner countries to support Ukraine, and this support will continue.

“The Government is pleased to announce that the deployment of qualified New Zealand Defense Force (NZDF) support to Ukraine will be extended until June 2025. Up to 97 NZDF personnel will continue to train Ukrainian soldiers, provide intelligence, communications and logistical support,” Collins said.
