For two months of 2024, the gambling business paid UAH 2.2 billion in taxes, which is 370% more than the same period last year. This was reported by the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danilo Getmantsev.

According to him, in January This year, the gambling business paid UAH 0.4 billion in taxes, and in February – UAH 1.8 billion. Thus, the budget received UAH 2.2 billion. Moreover, in 2023, for January-February, this amount amounted to UAH 0.6 billion.
“And this is despite the blocking of the launch of the online monitoring system for two years by the notorious KRAIL,” Getmantsev noted.

The “Ministry of Finance” wrote that taxes on the gambling business for 2023 exceeded the amount for 2022 by 14 times. Over the past year, the gambling business paid UAH 10.4 billion in taxes.
For the entire 2022, the budget received only UAH 730 million.
According to estimates from the National Bank, the monthly turnover of the gambling business in Ukraine is 12−15 billion UAH.
