Telegram is planning an IPO. The company reaches profitability and is valued at $30 billion

Telegram received a preliminary valuation of more than $30 billion ahead of a potential IPO. The founder and owner of the messenger, Pavel Durov, spoke about this in an interview with the Financial Times. The platform has gained 900 million users and is approaching profitability.

< p>In an interview, Durov noted that he is not going to sell the messenger while they are studying the possibilities of entering the stock exchange.

The IPO will be held when the company reaches profitability and market conditions become favorable. Durov declined to comment on the timing and possible location of the event, but said that Telegram had “examined several options.”

Telegram-related cryptocurrency TON reached a two-year high on the back of this news, adding almost 10% in a day (at the time of writing news).
