How to buy tickets
You can buy tickets through the Ukrzaliznytsia app, and for the direct train Kiev – Vienna you will need account verification through Diya.Signature.
“Step by step we are digitizing our services and making them convenient for customers. After long and difficult work, we managed to reach agreements with Hungary and Austria on the online sale of train tickets. After the implementation of this project, even more of our international flights will be available online and passengers will no longer have to go to the ticket office to buy a ticket and plan their trip. Also, as experience on the Kyiv-Warsaw route has shown, this is a fairly powerful guard against outbids. We are moving on,” said Yevgeny Lyashchenko, Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC.
At the second stage, tickets will also become available online in the Ukraine-Hungary connection for trains traveling to Austria in transit through Hungary, that is, Kiev – Budapest – Vienna and Chop – Budapest – Vienna.
Direct connections Ukraine – Hungary ( Mukachevo – Debrecen, Mukachevo – Budapest, Chop – Zahony) will appear in the application a little later.
In order to prepare for the sale of tickets online, Ukrzaliznytsia will temporarily suspend the sale of tickets through ticket offices for the direct train Kiev – Vienna – Kyiv from tomorrow departure dates starting March 18th. The restriction will continue until online sales open. That is, on March 18, ticket sales will resume (20 days) online. The temporary restriction does not affect the Chop – Vienna – Chop train. As of now, tickets for the Chop – Vienna train and back are available on almost all dates.
