The number of participants in the non-bank financial market in February increased from 1058 (as of January 31, 2023) to 1060 (as of February 29, 2024), the number of banks remained unchanged – 63. This is stated in the message of the National Bank.

One financial company was forcibly excluded from the registers and, at the initiative of the applicant, one insurer was excluded. At the same time, the register includes one insurance broker and three collection companies.
During February, two institutions – a financial company and an insurer – had all their licenses voluntarily revoked (based on their applications). In relation to two other financial companies, a decision was made to provide approval for changes in the scope of the license, in particular for one financial company, an expansion of the scope of the license for the type of activity to provide financial services was agreed upon, while at the same time another financial company was agreed to narrow the scope of the license for the type of activity to provide financial services.
Who works in the market
As of February 29, 586 financial companies were operating in the non-banking market (in January there were 528), 86 non-life insurers (from 87), 12 life- insurers (number has not changed), one insurer with a special status, 125 pawnshops (number has not changed), 129 credit unions (number has not changed), 10 leasing companies (was 69), 37 insurance brokers (was 36), 74 collection companies (was 71).
In addition, 18 banking groups (from 19) and 21 non-banking groups (from 20) are recognized on the market.
The payment market has 18 payment systems created by residents, including state-owned (from 19), and 15 international payment systems created by non-residents (there were 16). The cancellation of registration of two payment systems occurred at the request of the operators of these payment systems (i.e. voluntarily).
In addition, providers of financial payment services operate on the market, including 20 payment institutions (from 19), 11 financial institutions entitled to provide payment services (the number has not changed), one bank is an issuer of electronic money (the number has not changed) and one postal operator (the number has not changed).
Other entities operating in the payment system market, includes 36 commercial agents (from 34) and 35 technological operators of payment services (the number has not changed).
