Work on confiscation

According to Shmygal, work is now underway on the confiscation of Russian frozen assets. The International Register of Damages has already been created. In the future, he said, it is planned to create an International Compensation Commission and a Compensation Fund.

“It is important to confiscate not only sovereign assets, but also the assets of Russian oligarchs. The need for reconstruction, according to World Bank estimates, is $486 billion. There are about 300 billion in frozen Russian assets. Therefore, we are discussing the possibility of introducing additional taxation on Russian goods sold on international markets, and directing this tax to Ukraine,” Shmygal wrote.

Recall

Starting from April, the international register of damage caused to Ukraine by the Russian war will be open to applications from victims.
