In February, Ukrainian consumer sentiment fell to its lowest level in two years.

The consumer sentiment index (CSI) of Ukrainians in February 2024 decreased by 6.2 points to 70.2 (on a scale from zero to 200). This is the lowest level since the beginning of the war, according to monthly research by Info Sapiens.

Since February 2022, the PPI fell almost as low in June 2022 – to 72.2 points. It was at its highest – about 92 points – in March 2022 and spring 2023.

Decreased last month all components of the indicator except the index of the current personal financial situation. It increased by 0.9 points compared to January – to 50.8 points.

“The winter period ends with a deterioration in consumer sentiment indicators. At the same time, for two indicators, the negative dynamics are significant and statistically significant – there is a drop in the Consumer Sentiment Index (CSI) and the Economic Expectations Index (EEI),” analysts noted.
