Trading in both marks is not carried out on Friday, since the exchanges are closed due to Good Friday.
In March, Brent rose in price by 4.6%, WTI by 6.3%. In the first quarter, prices rose 13.6% and 16.1%, according to Dow Jones Market data. ⌌ The cost of May futures for Brent on the London ICE exchange Futures at market close on Thursday increased by $1.39 (1.6%) to $87.48 per barrel.
WTI oil futures for May in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) increased by $1.82 (2.2%), to $83.17 per barrel.
