One of the most popular services for car re-registration through “Diya” was used by more than 60 thousand people. Thus, owners have been changed for more than 30 thousand vehicles, more than 5.5 thousand license plates have been ordered and delivered by mail.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Timchenko reported this in an interview with Ukrainian News.
According to him, also in 2023, Ukrainians exchanged 188,276 driver’s licenses through Diya. Of these, 14,874 are delivered through Ukrposhta, 173,402 are received at service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Citizens have the opportunity to receive the driver’s license delivery service both at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and online. From May 2023, driving license exchange has become available in the Diya application. Initially, citizens had the opportunity to pick up the finished document at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center. Subsequently, this service was expanded – drivers were given the opportunity to order a driver’s license at any convenient Ukrposhta branch on the territory of Ukraine,” said Leonid Timchenko.
In addition, 55,883 driver’s licenses were exchanged through the Driver’s Electronic Account. Of these, 30,267 were delivered by Ukrposhta across the territory of Ukraine and 25,616 were received at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“5,600 people ordered the delivery of a driver’s license abroad. This service has been available since October 2023. And now this can be done from 27 countries. The majority are European countries,” the official emphasized.
He noted that this list of countries certainly does not include the aggressor state Russia and its accomplice Belarus.
