Ukrposhta announced the release of a stamp dedicated to the Chernihiv region from the postal block “City of Heroes”. This was stated by the General Director of Ukrposhta Igor Smilyansky.

< p>According to him, according to the Presidential Decree, Ukraine today has 10 hero cities: Bucha, Irpen, Nikolaev, Akhtyrka, Volnovakha, Gostomel, Mariupol, Kharkov, Kherson and Chernigov.

“We have already released stamps in the “Cities of Heroes” series, dedicated to 6 of them, and today we are announcing the release of the 7th stamp of the series – Chernigov,” noted Smilyansky.
The postal block honors:⠀
- the village of Yagodnoye, which was occupied in March 2022. For 27 days, 360 of its residents, including 69 children, were kept in an uninhabitable, cramped basement. the village of Semenovka, where volunteers evacuated people from Chernigov by crossing the Desna River near the village of Berezna. the cities of Chernigov and Nizhyn, thanks to whose resistance others survived, and hostile plans were brought to naught.
