The total wealth of 25 Russian billionaires has increased by $18.3 billion since the beginning of 2024, despite Western sanctions. This is evidenced by data from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, writes DW.

Who earned the most
< p>The co-founder of Eurochem and SVEC (Siberian Coal Energy Company) Andrey Melnichenko earned the most since the beginning of the year – $5.29 billion. Now his fortune is $24.1 billion.
The founder of USM Holdings, Alisher Usmanov, suffered the maximum damage: his fortune in the first three months of 2024 decreased by $2.8 billion to $18.3 billion.
In the top 10 richest Russians, according to Bloomberg, included:

How the index is calculated
Bloomberg calculates the index based on the value of shares of companies in which businessmen own shares. Last year, Russian billionaires became $50 billion richer.
