The Rada returned to the discussion of blocking the accounts of draft dodgers – people's deputy

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence returned to consider the previously rejected provisions of the bill on strengthening mobilization, providing for the blocking of accounts and the provision of consular services for Ukrainians whom TCC and SP employees are accused of evading mobilization. Committee member Irina Friz reported this on Facebook based on the results of the committee meeting held the day before.

< p>In particular, the Committee revised its previous decision, which rejected the introduction of temporary restrictions (blocking accounts, ban on driving vehicles, traveling abroad) for those Ukrainians whom TCC employees would accuse of evading mobilization.

“So, now the committee will re-consider this rule,” Friz noted.

She added that the Committee also returned restrictions on the provision of consular services to Ukrainian citizens abroad who will not register with the military.

At the same time, it is now proposed to leave the introduction of an electronic account of a person liable for military service as a right (opportunity), and not an obligation.

In addition, the Committee took into account the amendment that citizens who independently expressed a desire to sign a contract will receive the opportunity to choose a unit, but only from the list approved by the General Staff.

Friez added that the final version of the bill for the second reading will be adopted at the next meeting of the Committee.
