This year, the Canadian government will provide Ukraine with another preferential loan in the amount of 400 million Canadian dollars (about 307 million US dollars). This is stated in the draft state budget of Canada, submitted to the country's parliament the day before, writes Ukrinform.

< p>“Budget 2024 announced Canada’s intention to provide $2.4 billion in loans to Ukraine in 2024, of which $2 billion had already been transferred on March 20 through the IMF’s special administrative account to ensure the ability of the Ukrainian government to continue to provide services to its citizens,” the document states.
In addition, Canada will transfer 137.2 million euros to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development over five years, which will be used for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
