A total of 236 deputies voted for the adoption of the corresponding bill No. 11017.
The law establishes the opportunity to simultaneously issue (including in place of a lost or stolen one) or exchange a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and a passport for traveling abroad.
In addition, an indefinite validity period for a passport of a citizen of Ukraine in the form of a card is established for persons over 65 years of age.
It is stipulated that urgent registration and exchange of passports will be carried out up to 7 working days from the date of registration of the application form (previously it was up to 10 working days).
The document also eliminates the main inconsistencies in the legislation related to lowering the age (from 16 to 14 years) for issuing a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and with the registration and issuance of a passport for traveling abroad to persons in respect of whom the fact of deprivation of personal freedom as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine has been established.
