Ukraine exported a record amount of ice cream last year

In 2023, Ukraine sold about 10 thousand tons of ice cream on foreign markets, which is 44% more than the previous year. This is reported by the Ukrainian Agricultural Export Association with a link to data from the State Customs Service.

“In 2023, almost 10 thousand tons of ice cream were sold on foreign markets (+44% compared to 2022), while total income increased by 67%, exceeding $32 million. These figures ultimately became a record in the history of Ukraine,” the message says.

Who bought Ukrainian ice cream the most

It is noted that ice cream was mainly sold to the countries of the European Union, from where revenues amounted to more than $19 million or 60% of the value of all exports.

The main buyers of Ukrainian ice cream last year were:

“We note the fairly diversified geography of sales of this product, because it was also exported to Iraq, the USA, China, the UAE, Ivory Coast, Gambia, and Canada. Thus, we continue to strengthen our position in the global ice cream market,” said the Agricultural Export Association.

< p>In January-March 2024, Ukraine sold 2 thousand tons of ice cream on foreign markets (23% higher than in the first quarter of 2023) worth over $7 million (+25%).
