The majority (55%) of Ukrainians surveyed are sympathetic to the increase in electricity tariffs in order to ensure the repair of destroyed infrastructure. This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted by the Sociological Group “Rating”.

In particular, according to 45% of respondents, to ensure repairs, electricity tariffs can be increased taking into account their financial condition and household consumption volumes.
Another 10% are convinced that electricity prices should be increased for all consumers. 40% of citizens are confident that there is no need to increase tariffs, even if the situation with the electricity supply gets worse.
At the same time, 67% of respondents agree with the opinion that in case of tariff increases, vulnerable segments of the population should receive help from the state. About a quarter (26%) disagree with this.
Survey
The survey was conducted on May 6-8, 2024 among citizens aged from 18 years in all regions of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbass, as well as territories where at the time of the survey there was no Ukrainian mobile communication.
The results are weighted using current data from the State Statistics Service.
< p>The sample is representative by age, gender and type of settlement. A total of 1,200 respondents were interviewed using the CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) method.
