What is known

“We are carefully monitoring the flow of citizens’ complaints regarding unfair distribution. And we already see several areas where, obviously, an in-depth inspection will take place in the near future. They will study locally how exactly the distribution system operator adhered to the principle of social justice in the distribution of electricity,” said the head of the inspection. Ruslan Slobodyan.

Where are the most complaints?

The majority of complaints come from the Dnepropetrovsk region, which Gosenergonadzor plans to check first, he specified. They intend to carry out inspections in another five to six regions.

The hourly shutdown schedules may not be observed due to the fact that stabilization shutdowns include emergency shutdowns caused, in particular, by heat, the chairman of the inspection noted.

“At the same time, suspicions are justified that some distribution system operators (oblenergo) did not apply hourly outage schedules quite correctly. We will carefully check this,” said Slobodyan.

Based on the results of the checks, he added, appropriate orders will be issued to eliminate violations with recommendations for their further avoidance.
