The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development recommended that the parliament adopt a bill on the calculation of time in Ukraine, which would provide for the abolition of the transition from summer to winter time and vice versa. This was reported by the committee's press service.

It is noted that the corresponding bill No. 4201 is aimed at protecting public health, since, according to the majority of scientists and doctors, The specified procedure for calculating time, in terms of the annual movement of clock hands one hour forward and one hour back, has a number of negative consequences. In particular, it causes a significant deterioration in health during the period of adaptation to summer and winter time.

In addition, scientific research has linked time changes to diseases of the cardiovascular or immune systems because they interrupt biological cycles. It has also been proven that changing clocks does not help energy saving.
