Device controlled through the application, and transactions are processed directly inside the implanted chip.

“These wallets are hardware wallets that are designed to send cryptocurrency. Your phone app is your interface, but it doesn't have private keys. The private key and the actual signing of a Bitcoin transaction or other crypto transaction is carried out in the chip,” said Amal Graafstra, founder and CEO of VivoKey Technologies and Dangerous Things.

According to him, the Apex chip can be used to store bitcoins, opening doors or paying for a cup of coffee.

The technology uses NFC and RFID and supports several types of crypto wallets, including Satochip, Seedkeeper, and Status IM key card wallet. This allows you to work with different blockchains and cryptocurrencies.

Implantation and cost

The device is inserted under the skin using a special needle. The operation takes only a few seconds.

The cost of such an implanted cryptocurrency wallet is $349.

The chip does not track the user's location

Graafstra dispels common fears about tracking using implanted chips. According to him, the device is not a tracker and cannot track the location of the user.

It is a secure hardware wallet that cannot be lost or forgotten. The video showed how it works.
