monobank, operating under the banking license of Universal Bank, was included in the global ranking of the best fintech companies in the world for the second time. CNBC and research firm Statista have released a list of the world's top 250 fintech companies for 2024. FinTech Insider writes about this.

Which companies are included in list
The list includes eight categories of fintech companies, including alternative finance, banking solutions, business processes, digital assets, financial planning, neo-banking, payments and wealth management. Payments remains the largest segment, accounting for 24% of the companies on the list.
The ranking is based on an analysis conducted from March to May 2024 of more than 2,000 companies for which more than 20,000 data points were collected. Companies were assessed based on general performance indicators, which took up 40% of the weight in the assessment, and segment-specific key performance indicators, with a share of 60% of the assessment.
monobank is the only representative of Ukraine
One of 35 projects In the category of the world's best neobanks, the Ukrainian monobank, whose city of origin is Dnipro, was recognized. This is the only Ukrainian fintech company in the list of neobanks and the general list.
The United States leads in the number of fintech companies in the list (116), followed by the United Kingdom (30) and India (11). India this year overtook Germany (7) and France (3) in terms of the number of leading fintech companies. After India in this year's ranking comes Singapore (9), as well as Brazil (7) and Canada (7) among the top countries.
