Payment giant PayPal was fined $27 million in Poland for failing to clearly state the terms under which they could be punished in its contracts with consumers. Reuters writes about this.

The Polish regulator (UOKiK) believes that the company can independently interpret the provisions of the contract and punish its own users. According to the Poles, the agreement is not clearly spelled out.
UOKiK notes that consumers cannot determine what actions may be considered prohibited, and PayPal may block funds in the account for violation.
