This is included in the country’s budget, which now has a “hole” of 17 billion euros that needs to be closed.

According to sources agency, Germany expects Ukraine to be able to finance the bulk of its military needs with $50 billion in loans from the G7 countries, backed by proceeds from frozen Russian assets. Therefore, the German government hopes that even these funds provided for Ukraine will not be fully used.

At the same time, the German budget for 2025 with a total volume of 481 billion euros provides for a record 78 billion euros of investments and net borrowing in the amount of 43.8 billion euros, taking into account the constitutional limit on spending.
