Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, NEC Ukrenergo has received 1.5 billion euros in assistance from international partners. This was reported by the company's press service on Facebook.

“Yesterday we received a grant from the European Union in the amount of 100 million euros, which will be used for restoration and protection. This contribution from our partners increased the package of international support that Ukrenergo received during the full-scale invasion to 1.5 billion euros,” the message says.

It is noted that since Ukrenergo does not have network restrictions, attracted from the European Union The funds will be used not for emergency repairs, but to increase the stability of the network.

In general, Ukrenergo attracted assistance in the form of loans from international financial organizations, grants from the governments of the EU countries, the USA, the UK and equipment that was purchased and delivered for us by international organizations USAID, UNDP and others.

All support is controlled by international partners and is aimed at restoring facilities damaged by Russian shelling, purchasing high-voltage equipment, supporting the liquidity of the electricity market and protecting our facilities.

“It is thanks to international support that we were able to reduce the impact of Russian attacks on the operation of the high-voltage network and restored it the ability to transport electricity across the country. Already today, high-voltage infrastructure is capable of transmitting several times more electricity than is currently produced at Ukrainian power plants,” emphasized Ukrenergo.
