In Ukraine, mobile Internet is one of the slowest – 93rd place out of 108. The average download speed is 21.24 MB/s, which is approximately 2.5 times lower than the world average. This is stated in a study of speed tests by Ookla (the owner of the Speedtest service), writes UNIAN.

Where is the fastest and slowest Internet
The fastest mobile Internet in Qatar (334.63 MB/s), and the slowest is in Cuba (4.02 MB/s).
With fixed-line Internet in Ukraine, things are much better: 60th place among 159 countries with speed indicators slightly lower than the world average.
The record average speed in Singapore is 285.02 MB/s, in Ukraine – 80.02 MB/s, and the slowest home and office Internet is again in Cuba – only 2.79 MB/s.
The expected slow access in Ukraine is due to the lack of fifth generation communication networks.
At the same time, 5G is already available in some countries of the former USSR, for example, in Latvia , Estonia and Lithuania.
The Ministry of Digital Development said that a pilot project for 5G communications in Ukraine could be launched as early as this year.
