Nvidia is focused on developing versions of its new flagship AI chips for the Chinese market that will be compliant with current US export controls, writes Reuters.

The company made this decision against the backdrop of a stop in supplies to China of advanced artificial intelligence chips developed by Nvidia and other companies. This is part of a set of measures aimed at preventing Beijing from obtaining advanced American technology.
Nvidia unveiled its Blackwell line of chips in March, which is due to go into mass production at the end of the year.
According to Reuters, Nvidia's most advanced chip for the Chinese market, the H20, initially had a weak start after shipments began this year, and the American company priced it lower than a competing chip from Huawei.
