In January – June 2024, 888.4 billion UAH were allocated from the state budget to the security and defense sector, including 155.6 billion UAH in June. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

“For January – June 2024, expenditures of the general fund of the state budget for this sector amounted to 888.4 billion hryvnia (57.5% of the total amount of expenditures of the general fund of the state budget),” it says message.
In particular, 155.6 billion UAH were used from the state budget for security and defense needs in June.
It is noted that the funds were used for the salary of military personnel, privates and commanders composition, police; acquisition of military/special equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, personal protective equipment, fuels and lubricants, food; medical care, etc.
