A similar low figure has been recorded in the modern history of Poland twice: in 1990 and in July 2022, when Ukrainians who left due to the war began to fill vacancies on the Polish market.
According to GUS, 17.1 million people work in Poland, of which 16 million are at full employment.
The unemployment figures of the Polish statistical office differ from the data released by Eurostat. European statistics show that the unemployment rate in Poland is only 3%, and this is the second lowest among EU countries, writes EP.
The lowest unemployment in the Czech Republic is 2.7%. The EU average is 6%, and in the euro area – 6.4%.
High unemployment rates in June were recorded in Spain (11.7%) and Greece (10.6%).< /p>
