The overall situation in the energy system has improved – Shmygal

The general situation in Ukraine’s energy system has improved, but repairs to its facilities continue. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal at a government meeting in the Kherson region.

“As we promised, the overall situation in the energy system has now improved. Repairs are ongoing. The recovery continues. Support programs for installing additional small-scale generation are working. There are results,” Shmygal noted.

As for the Kherson region, according to the prime minister, active preparations are also underway in the region, in particular, Khersonteploenergo already has seven cogeneration units received in the framework of cooperation with USAID.

In addition, the autonomy of medical institutions is ensured. Of the nine hospitals in the Kherson region, backup heat supply is provided in eight, backup wells are provided in five, and all nine have backup power supply.
