“Currently, there are all the prerequisites for a stable situation on the foreign exchange market. Currency from the sale of the new harvest will soon begin to arrive, and the sea corridor allows for the active export of agricultural products and other commodity groups. We also expect $3.9 billion to be received from the United States of America as early as next week,” Pyshny said.

Since the beginning of July 2024, the official exchange rate has fallen from 40.5 UAH/USD to 41.2 UAH/USD, with a record rate of almost 41.5 UAH/USD recorded in the third ten-day period of the month.

According to Pyshny, the National Bank will maintain an active presence in the foreign exchange market to cover the structural currency deficit, support bilateral exchange rate fluctuations, and smooth out excessive volatility.

Recall that the NBU left the key rate at 13%.
