A “new batch” of property belonging to the Medvedchuk and Kozak brothers worth almost UAH 400 million has been transferred to the state for management. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.

According to the materials of the Security Service and the State Bureau of Investigation, the court arrested additional assets belonging to the brothers of former MPs Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak.
We are talking about land, corporate rights, property complexes and vehicles of four enterprises in Lviv. Among them are a concrete plant and a construction company.
The total value of the blocked property is about UAH 400 million.
The relevant assets were transferred to the National Agency for Detection, Search and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA).
Thus, the state will additionally manage more than 10 thousand m² of real estate and more than 70 units of vehicles and construction equipment of the companies of Serhiy Medvedchuk and Bohdan Kozak.

In June 2024, law enforcement officers exposed both brothers of former people's deputies in large-scale financial transactions.
According to the investigation, the defendants used controlled enterprises to embezzle funds due to non-payment of taxes to the state budget of Ukraine.
Then Serhiy Medvedchuk and Bohdan Kozak were notified in absentia of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion of taxes, fees (mandatory payments)).
Then, based on the materials of the SBU and the State Bureau of Investigation, the first arrest of the suspects' property worth more than UAH 200 million took place.
Both defendants are hiding abroad. Comprehensive measures to bring them to justice are ongoing.
