Vladislav Korolev, head of the secured lending department of state-owned Privatbank, said that the bank receives more than 9,000 applications for a loan under the “eHome” program every month. Of these, about 52% were preliminary positive decisions.

“To make a decision, the bank is interested in the client’s solvency and credit load, and the current credit history has a direct impact on the decision. A client who has had late payments on previous loans or is in default at the time of application cannot be granted a loan without paying off the current debts,” says Vladislav Korolev.

Oschadbank reported that statistically, two out of three requests received are satisfied, and the bank issues a mortgage loan.

“Often the reasons for refusal are a negative credit history and insufficient income. However, Oschadbank specialists work individually with each request, because we strive to help solve the housing problems of the greatest number of Ukrainians,” the Oschadbank press service noted.

In general, banks participating in the eHome program issued 5,505 loans for UAH 9.4 billion in the first half of this year.

The largest number of loans under the eHome program are issued by banks for Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The capital region accounts for more than 45% of loans.
