In Ukraine, the first loan was issued for condominiums for the purchase of a solar power plant

The first loan was issued in Ukraine for an association of co-owners of an apartment building (OSMD) to install an alternative energy source under the program “Affordable loans 5-7-9%”. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

State Sense Bank signed the first loan agreement for the purchase and installation of a 30 kW solar power plant for a condominium association from Vinnytsia. Such equipment will provide for the house's own energy needs.

The loan was issued for a period of up to 5 years.

“This is just one of the solutions within the energy system support package. There are both government programs and individual offers from banks. In two months, banking institutions received more than 7.3 thousand applications from businesses and citizens for lending to projects to restore the energy infrastructure and approved applications in the amount of almost 4 billion UAH,” noted First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.

Sense Bank noted that the development of financing of alternative energy sources is one of the priorities for the financial institution.

Under the terms of the program “Affordable loans 5-7-9%” for condominium associations and housing cooperatives, the loan amount can be up to UAH 5 million for up to 5 years at 7% per annum.

The program will work in combination with the GreenGIM program. Within the framework of this program, condominium associations and housing cooperatives will be able to receive up to 70% of the cost of the project after its development.

In order to take advantage of the preferential lending program “Affordable loans 5-7-9”, the management of the condominium association or housing cooperative must submit an application to one of the banks cooperating with the Entrepreneurship Development Fund and provide a package of necessary documents established by the bank.

In addition, the following tools are available to businesses and individuals:

Expanded program “Affordable loans 5-7-9%” for businesses for the purchase and installation of gas power generating units. The amount of the preferential loan is up to UAH 150 million, the loan term is up to 10 years. The program “Affordable loans 5-7-9%” also provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to use loan funds to purchase solar and wind power plants, as well as equipment for the accumulation of electrical energy. Preferential lending for projects to restore energy infrastructure, provided by 19 of the largest banks in Ukraine. The loan amount can be up to EUR 25 million. The loan term is up to 5-7 years. Preferential lending at 0% for households for the installation of solar panels with energy storage systems and wind turbines. Loan amount is up to UAH 480 thousand. The loan term is 10 years.
