Among all card transactions in 2024, Ukrainians still preferred non-cash payments with payment cards. This is reported by the NBU.

In Ukraine and abroad, 8,184.8 million non-cash transactions were carried out for a total of UAH 4,243.5 billion.
So the share of non-cash transactions using payment cards by amount last year was 64.5% of the total amount of transactions with payment cards. The share of non-cash transactions by number last year increased to 94.6%.
The most common operations
An analysis of the distribution of non-cash transactions by payment cards of Ukrainian issuers by their types shows that in 2024, more transactions using payment cards in terms of quantity and amount were for settlements in the retail network. This is 73.4% and 46.8%, respectively (more than 6 billion transactions worth almost UAH 2 billion).
Transfers from card to card amounted to 31.1% (or UAH 1,318.4 billion). Their number was at the level of 8.2% of all non-cash transactions.
Payment for goods and services on the Internet amounted to 13.6% by quantity and 14.7% by amount of all non-cash transactions with payment cards. This is 622 billion UAH.
Average amount of one transaction in Ukraine in 2024:
- in the retail network – UAH 330 (in 2023 – UAH 325), by card-to-card transfer – UAH 1,958 (UAH 1,972), for payment for goods and services on the Internet – UAH 561 (UAH 490).
- NBU
