By the end of 2024, trade turnover between Ukraine and Poland reached 11.7 billion US dollars. At the same time, Ukrainian exports to Poland amounted to 4.6 billion dollars. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval at a meeting with representatives of Polish business.

Trade imbalance
“Trade turnover between the two countries in 2024 amounted to 11.7 billion dollars. Of these, almost 7 billion are imports from Poland to Ukraine. And only 4.6 billion are exports of Ukrainian goods to Poland,” the Ministry of Agrarian Policy quotes the minister as saying.
Discussion of cooperation: fertilizers and bioethanol
During the meeting, the parties also discussed potential areas of cooperation, in particular in the production and supply of fertilizers, as well as the development of bioethanol. Bioethanol is considered an alternative fuel that can be used not only in agricultural machinery, but also in conventional cars.
Import of fuel and agricultural products from Poland
According to Vitaliy Koval, the total volume of diesel fuel and gasoline imports to Ukraine is 1.5 million tons. As for the agricultural sector, in 2024, Poland exported production means and mineral fertilizers to Ukraine worth $354 million. The minister emphasized that these supplies constitute a significant share in the structure of Ukrainian agricultural production.
