Ukraine has successfully passed the official screening procedure, during which the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with the European Union standards was assessed within the framework of the negotiating section “Free movement of goods”. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. The corresponding meeting was held from March 3 to 6 at the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels.

Half-year preparation and presentation of Ukrainian legislation
The preparatory stage for the screening lasted six months. It included active interaction between Ukrainian government agencies and the Office for the Coordination of Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.
During the screening, the Ukrainian side presented to the European Commission more than 44 presentations covering 59 EU legislative acts regulating the sphere of industrial production. Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindratov reported that the European Commission positively assessed Ukraine's progress in bringing its legislation into line with European standards, as well as the fulfillment of obligations stipulated by the Association Agreement.
Prospects for Ukrainian exports: access to the EU market
He noted that the implementation of this section in the future will open up the opportunity for Ukrainian producers to export their products to the European Union market.

“After joining the EU, Ukraine will become a full-fledged part of the single market, where all member countries comply with the same rules. This will ensure a higher level of quality not only for imported goods entering the domestic market of Ukraine, but also for Ukrainian products,” the Ministry of Economy emphasized.
