On March 26, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) approved a loan for NAK Naftogaz of Ukraine in the amount of up to 270 million euros to purchase gas for the next two heating seasons in Ukraine. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

In addition, approximately 140 million euros in grants from the Norwegian government will be channelled through the EBRD.
“This resource will help us accumulate gas reserves in underground gas storage facilities to get through the next heating season,” the prime minister noted.
