Canadian support

Justin Trudeau stressed that his country is ready to provide the necessary medical support to those injured as a result of the Russian attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv.

As the Ministry of Finance wrote at the “Global Peace Summit” in Switzerland, Justin Trudeau announced that Canada will provide assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 52.4 million Canadian dollars (38 million US dollars).

The Canadian government will also invest 15.4 million Canadian dollars ($11,000) in the International Monetary Fund 2 million) to provide Ukraine with technical assistance and training necessary for economic reforms and accession to the European Union.

Another two million Canadian dollars ($1.5 million) are intended to support the safe and reliable operation of nuclear facilities in Ukraine through the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
