In Estonia, thanks to Ukrainian refugees, labor force indicators have increased

In 2023, all labor force indicators increased in Estonia. This happened mainly due to Ukrainian refugees. This is evidenced by data from the country's statistical department, reports the EP.

According to them, in 2023 the employment rate did not change and remained at 69.2%.

The number of people of working age increased by 25,600, mainly due to Ukrainians who received temporary protection in Estonia.

Unemployment amounted to 6.4%, while the number of unemployed people increased by 7,500 people compared to the previous year.

Employment in the service sector also increased decreased in industry and construction.
