This information was reported by the Ministry of Defense Britain, reports URA-Inform.
The intelligence is based on data released by Russian authorities on January 22 about 220 attacks related to military recruitment since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, statistics from the publication «Mediazona» indicates 113 attacks since July 26, 2023 alone.
«Taken together, these figures indicate a doubling of arson attacks on military registration and enlistment offices in the last 6 months», — says the intelligence report for January 28.
British intelligence noted that the increase in the number of attacks on military registration and enlistment offices and similar institutions in the Russian Federation may indicate distrust in President Vladimir Putin’s promise not to carry out a new wave of mobilization.
«An increase in the number of attacks is very likely due to a growing sense of dissatisfaction with the war among the Russian population, and especially those who may be mobilized as soon as will announce a second wave of mobilization. The new mobilization will contradict Putin’s promise of December 14, 2023, that there will be no new wave — attacks are highly likely to indicate a lack of trust in these promises «, — intelligence reported.
