Deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee Egor Chernev said the following:

“The military department that proposed changes to the legislation must explain how it will function. It must be taken into account that not all citizens have access to the Internet and the necessary equipment to use personal accounts,” — Chernev explained.

In addition, Chernev emphasized the need to listen to the position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and evaluate the effectiveness of such measures. As part of the discussion in Parliament, the introduction of coercive measures for Ukrainian citizens temporarily residing abroad is being considered, including possible restrictions on consular services.

“We want to hear the opinion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: will our consular services cope with this task, and to what extent will it produce results, will people come back, or do we risk losing them forever?” — the deputy emphasized.

Recall that the Kremlin admitted the impossibility of protecting St. Petersburg: “we can’t do anything.”
