This information was reported by The Washington Post, reports URA-Inform.

According to the American publication The Washington Post, citing informed interlocutors, Kiev informed the White House about Zelensky’s decision to dismiss the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny.

According to the source, White House officials did not support the decision to dismiss Zaluzhny, but did not oppose it either. They recognized such a move “as the sovereign choice of the Ukrainian president.”

«The advance warning also provided an opportunity for the White House to urge Zelensky to reconsider this is the key decision — although he decided not to do this», — writes the publication.

The Washington Post, citing «people familiar with the train of thought» President Zelensky, adds that the leader of Ukraine may postpone the decision on Zaluzhny’s resignation indefinitely, but «this seems unlikely».

We recall that it was previously reported that Zelensky has already made a decision: CNN announced the date when Zaluzhny is dismissed.
