Shevchenko’s 17-year-old son wants to obtain Ukrainian citizenship: documents have already been submitted

The son of the President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andrei Shevchenko, Christian, intends to obtain Ukrainian citizenship. It is reported that Shevchenko Jr. has already submitted all the relevant documents to obtain the status of a citizen of Ukraine.

In the future, Shevchenko's 17-year-old son, a forward of the Watford youth team, will obviously play for Ukrainian national team. Earlier, Andriy Shevchenko said that his son would play for Ukraine if he met the level of the national team.

It is worth noting that Christian Shevchenko was born in London in 2006. He began his career at the Chelsea Academy. In the summer of 2023, he joined Watford, with whom he signed a two-year contract. At the moment, he plays for the U-18 team, Christian acts as a central striker.

Andrei Shevchenko himself has not yet commented on his son’s intentions.
