In a study conducted by scientists in the Netherlands, a significant positive relationship was found between regularly drinking moderate amounts of beer (about a glass a day) and longevity. In particular, scientists analyzed the habits of 5,500 people observed over 20 years.
According to the results obtained, representatives of the stronger sex who regularly drink a glass of beer are 81% more likely to live to see their 100th birthday. In women, drinking the foamy drink increases the likelihood of becoming a long-liver by almost 30%.
According to the researchers, their finding confirms the validity of the hypothesis that drinking small doses of alcohol can be beneficial for heart health. At the same time, they emphasize: these data do not mean that a non-drinker needs to change his lifestyle and try alcohol.
They stressed that there is no scientific evidence that people who don't drink alcohol should start doing so for the benefit of their health.
Recall that it was previously reported that this simple product saves you from cancer: the doctor said it should be included in your diet.
