Products that can restore vision have been named: scientists have said what to include in the diet

According to scientific research, certain foods can help improve visual function and even restore vision.

The inclusion of these products in the daily diet can help not only preserve vision, but also improve its condition.

Carrots

Carrots have long been associated with good eyesight, and for good reason. It contains beta-carotene, a precursor to vitamin A, which is key for retinal function and night vision.

Green vegetable leaves

Vegetables such as spinach, kale and other green leafy vegetables are rich in lutein and zeaxanthin. These antioxidants reduce the risk of developing cataracts and macular degeneration, which are one of the leading causes of vision loss in older adults.

Berries and citrus fruits

Fish

Nuts, flax seeds and chia seeds contain more than just omega-3s , but also vitamin E, which protects the eyes from age-related damage.

Eggs

Eggs are an excellent source of lutein and zeaxanthin, as well as vitamin D, which can also play a role in protecting the eyes.
