The annual World Happiness Report identified the happiest country in the world.

The report is based on data from a global survey of people in more than 140 countries. Countries are ranked by happiness based on their average life scores over the previous three years, in this case — from 2021 to 2023.
Factors taken into account include GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity and corruption.
According to the annual World Happiness report Report, Finland tops the ranking of the happiest countries in the world for the seventh year in a row.
Denmark took second place in the ranking of the happiest countries, followed by Iceland in third place. Sweden and Israel also made the top five.
«In these countries, a close connection with nature and a healthy work-life balance contribute to global leadership happiness ratings. At the same time, rising feelings of unhappiness, especially among young people, have caused other Western countries to drop in the rankings», — the message says.
So, according to the World Happiness Report, Germany and the United States of America have significantly reduced their happiness levels. In particular, they fell out of the top twenty in ten years. But their places were taken by Costa Rica (12th place) and Kuwait (13th place).
At the same time, Ukraine took 105th place in this ranking. Afghanistan has become an outsider in terms of happiness, it is in last place.
