The West is looking for ways to stop the bloody war in Ukraine.

Political scientist and international expert Maxim Nesvitaylov expresses his opinion on the possibility of Western intervention to freeze the conflict on the territory of Ukraine. He believes that the deployment of foreign troops can ensure the implementation of security guarantees.
«Let's imagine a situation where the United States does not make or only partially makes a decision until the summer on extending aid to Ukraine. In this case, the West is considering the option of deploying a foreign military contingent on Ukrainian territory in the summer. Ukraine has signed security guarantees with a number of Western countries. Accordingly, foreign troops, with the permission of the Verkhovna Rada, can be stationed in Ukraine to guarantee the implementation of security agreements in the territories that they will control. Thus, the West can count on stopping the war for an indefinite period,” he said.
According to Nesvitaylov, such a scenario for freezing the war in Ukraine could work, given the doubts that have arisen regarding readiness the Russian army to attack the troops of NATO countries on the demarcation line.
